Bowery Ballroom x Crystal Antlers

Was in New York all last week and got to see 3 amazing bands, 2 that I listen to already. Von Haze, Crystal Antlers and The Big Pink. Von Haze played while the Bowery regulars sat downstairs getting liquored up (not a bad band at all actually really good). Crystal Antlers came on before The Big Pink which by the way is one of my favorite bands at the moment (i go through music like a kid in dippers) needless to say I was completely blown away by the live show of Crystal Antlers... not like they have a stage show of any sorts but the sheer presence and energy each band member exudes especially that of Damian Edwards. His dancing and playing was just pure energy and I loved it. do yourself a favor go hunt them down and watch them play pick up a CD and enjoy.
The Big Pink was great and I will go see them again for sure. Was told by a 50 year old man (who was dancing around like a little girl at a NKOTB show) that The Big Pink reminded him of Jefferson Airplane. Not a bad comparison.

Electro-Rock Duo x Shotgun Honey Moon
Listened to the new album "A Brief History Of Love" from The Big Pink (name taken from one of my favorite bands "The Band" debut album) band consists of 2 life long friends from good old LONDON... I love saying London really loud with an annoying accent, I don't think its annoying but for sure many people do. The two band mates are both talented multi-instrumentalist when performing live they are joined by a slue of musicians... just to name a couple Jo Apps and Daniel O' Sullivan. Check out their site its really dope and they are amazing.
Enjoy.
Picture from one of the Shotgun Honeymoon sessions. Didn't really edit much tried to keep it plain and simple.
