Year One

Man this was so long ago... Malibu CA. Entered this in a contest once and won something but I can't even remember what in the hell I won. Must not have been much if I can't even remember. Search Amazon.com for photography

Thank You Robert I. Brown

Don't you just love it when you get inspired by the young... and I say young in the nicest way. Robert is only 15 or 16 not too sure. Was reading his blog today and was just inspired so I decided to thank him. Robert Thank you so much, you are a great mind at such a young age and I have nothing but respect for you and all that you do. Keep up the good work my friend.

Words by W.E.B Du Bois

"The worker must work for the glory of his handiwork, not simply for pay; the thinker must think for truth, not for fame."

Jake Davis on Mark McNairy

These Mark McNairy Double Monk Strap shoes are nothing less then brilliant. Jake Davis said these words about Mark. My favorite "Bad Boys Move In Silence" isn't that the truth....

Word from Jake Davis Blog.

Gifts of any kind are good. But a gift you actually love is great. I naively know nothing about these shoes other than they are beautiful and intimidating as fuck. I'm not sure if they're currently available anywhere. You may have not known it but Mark McNairy has had an influence on mine and your style for years. Whether you bought 68 & Brothers or McNairy Brothers at Union or hike uptown to sift through J. Press, McNairy has had his touch in more ways than one.

A big part of this blog is to give shine to the guys that have been influencing fashion for years but are too real and humble to toot their own horn. Bad boys move in silence but I don't mind trumpeting their efforts here. Thanks for the elegant gift Mark, but more importantly thanks for doing what you do...
