Ellie Goulding
Rising star thats all I have to say about this songstress... Great sound, a mix between Folk and Electronica. As Luke Ighile put it Folktronica. Neon Gold Records the same lads responsible for Passion Pit will now have a little more to their roster. Luke said it best "Basically if her voice was edible I would be obese"

Inspiration x Neon Indian
Some great pieces that I've been using for inspiration. Top graphic by Tavis Coburn is fire... 1940's comic book art really shines in his work. Check out his stuff the guy is a stud.
Pin up by legend Enoch Bolles... if you don't know the name now you do get familiar.
Listening to Neon Indian currently.

Rick Danko x Cut Throat
I can only imagine that Danko is showing Neil how to play Cut Throat... "Sip The Wine" from Ricks solo album just started playing on the ipod and this song gives me goosebumps. I've loved this song since the day I heard it on Martin Scorsese's "The Last Waltz". Rick has been gone for sometime now and every time I hear his voice I get sad.
Spoon//Transference = Ouch
Spoons new album came out yesterday and if you haven't heard it yet, you should. Been a Spoon fan for some time now and this album does not disappoint. Album cover got my attention 1st.

jj on heavy rotation
Thanks to Jake Davis for introducing Sweden's jj. n 2 was released back in July but has also found its way to heavy rotation at the homestead. Jake described jj as the soundtrack for a make out session between The xx and Beach House both stunner bands.
The xx has one of the sickest videos I've seen in a while... check out their website for Basic Spaces.
Just a shot from testing a new snoot last night...

Bilingham and Co. Camera Bags
The 550 Bilingham classic camera bag in my eyes is the sexiest camera bag out today... These guys have been making what I consider the best camera bags since 1973... Keep up the good work I'm hooked and will be for a long time.

Brooklyn dancepop duo Sleigh Bells is getting nuff play at my house this week... Derek Miller and Alexis Krauss make up Sleigh Bells. There is not much out there but I am sure you can find some tracks. My latest reports states that they are working on a full length and its much anticipated by many.

Jared Schoenemann x Childish Gambino
Went shooting the other night with Jared Schoenemann... this guy is just pure dope. I've always loved his work and when the picture is of me its even better (I kidd). This night was great tons of great shots and I learned a ton. Like I said before every time I go shooting with Jared I learn something new.
I've been listening to Childish Gambino a lot lately I cant get his "I'm not a Rapper" mixtape out of my head. Childish Gambino is Donald Glover a comic who's credits include Community, 30 Rock and In the Meantime. Go on over to his blog and download some heat I promise you will like it. The guy is also a DJ who goes under the name MC DJ. Oh I almost forgot he was nominated for The Writers Guild of America award for his writing work on 30 Rock.

Charles Bukowski
I've been a fan of Charles's work since Bar Fly... I didn't get to watch Bar fly till a few years after its release in 87 but to a kid it was all the same. Pick up some Bukowski and you might feel the same way.
