Gifts of any kind are good. But a gift you actually love is great. I naively know nothing about these shoes other than they are beautiful and intimidating as fuck. I'm not sure if they're currently available anywhere. You may have not known it but Mark McNairy has had an influence on mine and your style for years. Whether you bought 68 & Brothers or McNairy Brothers at Union or hike uptown to sift through J. Press, McNairy has had his touch in more ways than one.

A big part of this blog is to give shine to the guys that have been influencing fashion for years but are too real and humble to toot their own horn. Bad boys move in silence but I don't mind trumpeting their efforts here. Thanks for the elegant gift Mark, but more importantly thanks for doing what you do...
